FAQ

You have questions, I have the answers! See below some frequent questions and items of interest for you. In case you have any further inquiries feel free to  contact me any time and I can setup a call answer any open questions.

How do I plan my session? Please, call or email me with your dates and ideas what you are looking for and we will find the best fit.
Where the photo session is going to be? I do outdoor photography sessions, indoor shoots, I love to explore cities, go on hikes with you and can shoot (almost) everywhere you might come up with. The best places are where you feel most comfortable so you enjoy the session as much as possible. Golden hour or morning time is the best to take pleasant pictures. I have a cozy home studio with professional lights and backdrops. If you are looking for professional headshot/portfolio pictures, my studio will be the best option. Also many of my newborn sessions are studio located also.
Do I need to sign an agreement? Yes, as soon you are ready to schedule your session I will prepare a photography agreement with all details (nobody like bad surprises) and will send it to you to review and sign.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
For weddings the deposit to secure your date is 30 percent of the full package price. The final payment is due 3 weeks before the wedding date.
For portrait session deposit is due at the time of your booking. The final payment is due your photo session date.
How I can make a payment? I accept cash and checks. Paypal and credit cards are available with 3% transaction fee.
If we cancel our booking will we receive our deposit back? In case you cancel you will not receive your deposit back. This covers any loss in the form of lost bookings and eventual cost already arisen before the actual session. However, I understand that unforeseen events can happen, so I try to work on alternatives if possible – e.g. find a new date for a session.
Do you charge for travel? I want to keep it simple for you, so for most sessions there are no travel fees. In most cases for wedding packages travel costs are included, for smaller session I normally charge travel fee if my travel time exceeds 70 miles (one way). I will make sure that in case there would be costs due to travelling, that we point it out right away so you consider it in your budgeting.
What is the difference between edited and retouched photos? All final images are edited for color, saturation, exposure and sharpness ensuring that each image is on its own the best it can be. For retouched images I take things a step further regular editing, such as skin retouching and fine detail editing.
What rights do I have to the digital prints? You will receive reproduction rights to all your images. This gives you the right to reproduce the images for personal use, so you can use them for prints, sharing them on your social media, making canvases, etc. Commercial use is not allowed if not separately agreed on. The copyright of the images will with the photographer.
When I will receive my pictures? 1-2 hour photo sessions takes about 5 to 14 days editing time. Weddings take up to 4 weeks to deliver all images.
Can I see some of my pictures right away? Yes! For clients who would like to see a small sampling of their photos within the first few days I offer  a “sneak peak” that can be viewed my Social Media pages. If you want to share your sneak peak with friends and family you can do so by sharing the post straight to your own page.
How I will get my pictures? All edited images will be available to you via download link You can share this online gallery with family and friends and download all images many times you need! Online gallery will be available for 2-8 weeks depends on type of session.

Your session fee involves any pre-session consultation time we spend talking about the portrait experience. Even before your session starts, we’ll talk about what to wear, tips and tricks for a great shoot, and how to get the most out of our shoot together! Do you want to know what I think about an outfit? Text it to me! I’m all about providing an experience of a lifetime and I believe that starts way before our session. It’s important for me to know how you want your images to look and what “vibe” you want out of them so that I can give you exactly what you want.
